‘EXAM’, the feature which I associate produced last year, premiered at Edinburgh to great reviews this summer, and has just got a full page rave in this months coming Empire Magazine. You can see the write up here.
Speaking with writer and director Stuart Hazeldine this afternoon, it became clear that the world really has shifted. Not so long ago, we would be chatting about who is designing the poster or cutting the trailer, but now it’s a conversation about who is doing the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) for your web pages and how to increase your social network presence.
The EXAM guys are working hard at getting 1,000 users on Facebook so if you want to become a fan, you can do that by searching Facebook for ‘Exam The Movie’ (I also did a blast via my own Facebook page – just checked now and the group is at 703 – it will be interesting to get an idea of roughly how many people joined via my Facebook blast). 1,000 is the magic number where the group becomes a page and also a Facebook domain, so if you want to follow the events of EXAM, do join.
In due course, Stuart has promised me that he will tell us all about how the film was made, and what happened with it in sales – I know this will be an amazing case study to follow, so let’s all support a terrific and super smart Brit thriller.
Remember, you can find it on Facebook under ‘EXAM – The Movie’.
Onwards and upwards!

Update #1 from Kate Separovitch – 'pages now only need 100 fans to get a "domain"'.
Plus overnight, Exam went from 703 members to 755 members. Let's see how e do during the daylight hours of the UK.
Update #2 – We just had a surge in Exam Facebook sign up, having now jumped to 793 members – so nearly a 100 increase. Interesting statistic in 24 hours.
