This weekends two day documentary workshop with Andrew Zinnes has just completed. It’s been an exhausting two days for everyone, but especially Andrew who last Thursday did a short workshop with me at the BFI. Then he did this rigorous two day workshop, and now we are prepping for the big one, the Hollywood Spec Script workshop about Andrew and Genevieve’s screenplay ‘Absolute Angels’ (Monday night). The workshop starts at 7.30pm at Ealing studios and costs £12.97 – there are a few seats left and you can book here.
OK back to the doc workshop – I helped Andrew this morning by working through technology and post production and it became obvious that I needed to update our hugely successful ‘post production wall chart’. In 2010, moving into 2011, what I really see is an explosion in Canon 5D MkII work, and I am going to put together a document that will clearly outline both the creative and technical workflow for 5D projects – do you have any questions? Any areas you don’t understand? I can then research the answers and feedback.
OK so here are some comments from the workshop…
‘One breakthrough I had was how to structure a documentary. I had written a synopsis but I will now revamp it with clear acts and an ending… I left the course with a wealth of knowledge, from inception to delivery… Five stars, I loved it!’
Ms Y Segone, TV Presenter
‘this weekend has given me what I needed to support both my ideas and ambitions and finally put them into action.’
Elaine McGuinness, Writer and Interviewer
‘great course, great people, great instructor…Thank you Andrew!’
Oliver Dunn, Film Maker
Right, have you booked a seat on the Hollywood Spec Script workshop – Andrew and Genevieve fly back to LA on Wednesday so this is your only chance to attend.
Onwards and upwards!
