Hollywood Legend Joe Eszterhas is top of the bill at this years London Screenwriters’ Festival. He will be running a number of sessions including an indepth Script To Screen on Basic Instinct –also he is doing one-on-one coaching in our labs (Lab deadline this weekend so act now).
Joe is of course just one of nearly 150 industry experts speaking, making this the biggest filmmaking and screenwriting event this side of Hollywood.
Alongside our experts, there will also be 700 delegates, filmmakers and writers just like you, connecting, collaborating and accelerating toward their goals.
Dates 25th to 27th October (Friday through Sunday)
Get your pass here…
The Festival will run around 130 sessions on filmmaking, screenwriting and career development over the three days. Many are filmed, so if you miss them, you can catch up later. We also filmed loads from past years and now have an immense library of professional development sessions (over 200 hours from over 300 experts) available immediately after buying your pass.
We are adding sessions daily now…
Don’t take our word for it, check out feedback from last year
The London Screenwriters’ Festival is rapidly becoming the Glastonbury of the screenwriters world – one pass gets you everything, including a pass to the PitchFest (http://www.londonscreenwritersfestival.com/whats-on/sessions/speed-pitching), and just like Glastonbury, there’s just TOO much to do! Sorry about that ;0) Expect to sleep VERY little!
The atmosphere has to be experience to be believed, one reason why year on year, delegates return for more. We have grown in number 30% every year now.
OK, so take the leap and you will have a career changing experience.
Finally, I asked Joe on the phone last week, what advice would he offer a new filmmaker or writer… and he said “I would put my heart, soul, and guts into every word of every screenplay that I write. I would expect to get my heart broken… probably many times. But I would also buy myself a deadly pair of brass knuckles and know how to use them.”
Get ready to have your ass kicked into overdrive!
Onwards and upwards!
P.S. In the run up to the festival we are also hosting three, one day ‘Hollywood’ events…
Luke Ryan on working in Hollywood, The Save The Cat guys, and finally pitch guru Pilar Alessandra offering a whole day pitch training. We are flying all of them in from LA to create this unique Hollywood comes to London week.
