We are prepping the next Script to Screen workshop (Monday 4th October) with documentary film maker Craig McCall. His film on legendary cameraman Jack Cardiff was in official selection in Cannes this year and has become required viewing for all lovers of cinema – both fans of cinema and creators of cinema like you. We are delighted to screen the film in HD, with Craig present for extended Q and A afterward. Everyone who attends will get a copy of this film on DVD and I am sure Craig will be happy to sign them for you.

Like Jack Cardiff, Craig is a fabulous raconteur and will share his extensive insights into making documentaries, specifically autobiographical ones. He will offer tips on getting to famous people for an interview, interview techniques, getting film clips released to include in the edit (under fair usage), shaping a story over ten years of weekends and evenings… It’s production is an amazing story in of itself!

And of course, I am sure he will share his experiences in sales and distribution. What was it like being in official selection in Cannes? How did it do in theatres? How did his DVD release go? What about TV? Have the international sales agents worked out? What has his festival run been like and how did he manage it?
