I have just returned home, exhausted from that marathon that was the London Comedy Writers Festival 2011. Was it a hit? You bet! What did we all learn? Heaps! And it kicked off with a MAJOR bang with our keynote speech with Griff Rhys Jones (above).
Right now though, I am SO tired, I don’t think I can write much more, and I have a tough week ahead of me too. So I will just share my own personal high point of the festival, interviewing Rhona Cameron. It was an honest, powerful and intimate conversation about what drives creativity, about the madness that can sometimes dominate a creative person, and about how pervasive that creativity can be. As Rhona said ‘it’s there all the time in your head, you can’t switch it off…’ And it was about so much more too. I can’t wait to edit the video of it!
Anyway, I am far too tired to write eloquently about this revealing conversation now, so I will defer to later in the week when I am not exhausted.
Onwards and upwards!
