One of the big reasons I switched from Typepad to WordPress was the awful way in which Typepad handled comments. It was just horrible and clunky and usually ended up in me not engaging as much as I wanted to do as the system would get in the way.
Now I am on WordPress, that should all change as comment handling and responding is so much easier and faster. I did run into one little problem yesterday though. I responded to a comment on my new blogsite but WordPress did not produce my headshot next to my comment.
Do you have this problem also?
If you do, the solution is very simple.
Just sign up for a free account with Gravatar http://en.gravatar.com/, attach your accounts, such as your blog (using the API key – don’t worry, it’s REALLY easy) and upload a headshot photo. From that point on, leaving comments SHOULD also include your photo.
Having a recent and decent headshot is so important as in this day and age, most people get to know each other online before physically meeting, and you want to be recognised by your online friends and colleagues when you are at industry gatherings.
Onwards and upwards!

Et voila!
There you go, did you just do yours?
I am just LOVING the way wordpress handles comments!
Great improvement to the site.
A definite improvement – looks great!
