How to raise $100,000 crowd funding…

Friday Feb 17th, and as part of the Guerilla Film Makers Masterclass, I will be running an evening pre-registration seminar with David Reynolds of Realm Media. Many of you will know Dave as he is the face and driving force behind a series of uber successful no-budget productions such as Zomblies, as well as his utterly delightful short about filmmaking, which landed him the Pepsi Max prize with Raindance (watch here).

Running up to Xmas last year, and his team ran a crowd funding campaign for their project ‘The Under Water Realm’, and Dave will share all his experiences running that successful campaign (they raised over $100k!!!!), as well as sharing insight into shooting DSLR. The video above is just one of the ways he managed to get attention for his campaign – a short lighting class with his DP and now lovely wife, Eve Hazelton.

It’s going to be a knockout event, as Dave’s chat is preceded by the session with the team behind successful Brit horror ‘Panic Button’ (which I blogged about yesterday).

Among other things we will be discussing…

  • What kit should you own?
  • How to get the most from your kit
  • Making your own kit
  • How to survive using your camera (make money with your camara)
  • Do you need to be in London to succeed?
  • Collaboration – who should be in your core team
  • How to run a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter
  • What should indie film makers be making in 2012 and why?

This event is ONLY available to delegates of the Guerilla Film Makers Masterclass. Sign up now to get access and join 350 other film makers at the film making event of  2012 – get your pass below… (use discount code CHRISJONES to get £50 off).
