It’s easy to write off Sylvester Stallone as an action movie star playing one dimensional characters.
But that would be a mistake.
In his long career he has won BAFTA and Oscar nominations for screenwriting, written and directed a diverse range of movies, and delivered staggering commercial successes.
In this interview, he shows that he is significantly more interesting than just an ageing action movie star… I loved his quote about his fear when writing, and ‘’expect to fail, but know its not a permanent state…’
Great stuff!
Onwards and upwards!

It’s easy to knock someone who is commercially successful, it’s much harder actually being commercially successful!
I have always felt that too Rod, and I have been stunned at how many times I have heard other filmmakers deride commercial work as though the concept is a dirty idea. So so sad.
