So the film festival bonanza has begun.
It will all kick off next week in London with our fist set of official screenings in the Kodak Short Film Awards 2009, for which we are up for Best Film (Audience Award) and Best Cinematography (Judged). I will be posting details of screenings in the next 24 hours, and we would love to see you there. Rhode Island follows, and I can now confirm that I will be attending and we are going to shoot a video blog of the journey and events, from opening night screenings to final awards ceremony.
Beyond that we have our options open, but I have been getting feedback which is very encouraging. One festival organiser wrote…
‘We would love to screen Gone Fishing at our 2009 event… I screened it to a group of 20 or so screeners last night (we use groups to cull our films) and had two scores of 100%, which is the first time that has happened! We have not have 100% before, 85% is very high and very hard to get!’
Crikey. So it’s looking very good.
So do pop back regularly now, as schedules will be more regularly updated, and no matter where in the world you live, I hope you will get the chance to see Gone Fishing, up on the big screen, where cinema should be seen.
Onwards and upward!
